We’re excited to officially welcome you to Reform Health + Wellness, a multidisciplinary health clinic now open in Red Deer, Alberta.
Located in East Hill Shopping Centre at 3020 22 Street #430, Reform was created with a simple goal: to bring experienced healthcare professionals together in one modern, collaborative clinic where patients feel heard, understand their options, and receive care designed around their individual needs.
For us, opening Reform is especially meaningful. After years of practising in Oregon, Colorado, and British Columbia—and spending the past five years owning and operating a multidisciplinary clinic in Kelowna—Dr. Courtney Means and Dr. Seth Means are excited to put down roots in Red Deer.
For Courtney, it also means coming home.
Born and raised in Red Deer, she is thrilled to return to the community with Seth and their family and create the kind of clinic they have envisioned for years.
Why We Created Reform Health + Wellness
Healthcare can sometimes feel fragmented.
You may see one practitioner for your back, another for a sports injury, someone else for rehabilitation, and another professional to help manage the stress or emotional effects that can accompany pain, injury, or major life challenges.
At Reform, we wanted to create something different.
Our clinic brings multiple healthcare disciplines together under one roof, making it easier for patients to access the care they need and, when appropriate, for practitioners to communicate and collaborate.
That doesn't mean every patient needs multiple types of treatment. It means that your care can be based on what is appropriate for you, rather than trying to fit every problem into the same approach.
Our team takes time to listen, assess your concerns, explain what we find, discuss your options, and help you make informed decisions about your care.
Why the Name “Reform”?
The name Reform represents what we want healthcare to help people do.
Rebuild.
Adapt.
Move forward.
For one person, that might mean getting back to hockey after a shoulder injury. For another, it might mean being able to sit through a workday without constant neck pain. It could mean returning to exercise after having a baby, improving mobility as you get older, recovering after a motor vehicle accident, or developing better strategies for managing stress, anxiety, trauma, or chronic pain.
There isn't one definition of feeling better.
Our goal is to understand what matters to you and help you work toward it.
Multidisciplinary Healthcare in Red Deer
Reform Health + Wellness offers a growing range of healthcare services for individuals and families throughout Red Deer and Central Alberta.
Chiropractic Care
Our chiropractors provide individualized care for a wide range of muscle, joint, nerve, and movement-related concerns.
Treatment may include spinal or joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, mobility work, exercise and rehabilitation, education, dry needling, and other approaches depending on your assessment and preferences.
Patients commonly visit our chiropractors for concerns such as back and neck pain, headaches, sciatica and nerve pain, shoulder or knee injuries, sports injuries, prenatal and postpartum discomfort, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Massage Therapy
Our Registered Massage Therapists provide both therapeutic and relaxation-focused massage based on each patient's needs and goals.
Massage therapy may be helpful for people dealing with muscle tension, physical stress, activity-related soreness, persistent aches and pains, or those simply looking for time to recover and unwind.
Treatment styles can range from relaxation massage to deeper, more targeted therapeutic techniques.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, strength, function, and confidence following injury or physical limitation.
Care may incorporate exercise prescription, movement retraining, manual therapy, mobility work, education, and progressive rehabilitation.
Physiotherapy can be particularly valuable when returning to sport or activity, recovering from an injury or surgery, or working to improve strength and function over time.
Psychology & Counselling
Physical and mental health are closely connected, which is why psychology is an important part of the multidisciplinary care available at Reform.
Our psychology services support children, adolescents, adults, and families with concerns including anxiety, stress and burnout, trauma and PTSD, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, chronic pain, parenting challenges, and more.
Psychological and ADHD/psycho-educational assessments are also available.
Acupuncture, Dry Needling & IMS
Dry needling and acupuncture-based techniques may be incorporated into treatment by appropriately trained practitioners when clinically indicated.
These techniques are often used alongside other forms of care for muscle tension, mobility restrictions, pain, or certain musculoskeletal complaints.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is another treatment option available within our clinic for selected musculoskeletal and tendon-related conditions.
It may be incorporated into a broader treatment plan depending on your condition, clinical assessment, and individual goals.
Care for the Way You Move, Work & Live
One of the things we love about practising in a community like Red Deer is the variety of people we get to help.
Our patients include recreational and competitive athletes, busy parents, tradespeople, office workers, active older adults, children and families, people recovering from motor vehicle accidents, and people who simply want to stay active and continue doing the things they enjoy.
You don't have to be an athlete to care about how your body moves.
Being able to work comfortably, pick up your kids, walk the dog, golf, garden, train at the gym, sleep well, or get through your day with greater confidence can be just as meaningful.
That's why our treatment plans are built around the individual rather than a predetermined protocol.
A Collaborative Approach—When It Makes Sense
Having different healthcare professionals in one clinic creates opportunities for collaboration when it may benefit a patient.
For example, someone recovering from a sports injury may work with a chiropractor or physiotherapist on movement and rehabilitation while also seeing a massage therapist for associated muscle tension.
Someone living with persistent pain may benefit from physical treatment while also choosing to work with a psychologist on the stress, sleep disruption, fear, or emotional challenges that sometimes accompany long-term symptoms.
Collaboration is never about adding unnecessary treatment.
It's about having options available and making communication easier when more than one perspective could be useful.
What to Expect at Reform
We want visiting Reform to feel straightforward from the beginning.
Your first appointment generally starts with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, goals, and the activities that matter to you.
Depending on the service, your practitioner may then complete a physical, movement, or psychological assessment before discussing their findings and recommendations.
We believe patients should understand what their practitioner found, what their options are, and why a particular approach is being recommended.
When appropriate, treatment may begin during your first visit.
Direct Billing & Online Booking
We know convenience matters too.
Reform Health + Wellness offers online appointment booking so you can find appointment times that work with your schedule.
We also offer direct billing to many major extended health insurance providers when available. Coverage varies between individual benefit plans, so we always recommend confirming the details of your coverage with your insurer.
