Dr. Courtney Means was born and raised in Red Deer, AB. She earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She then moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue her Chiropractic career. She graduated from the University of Western States with her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.

She has practiced alongside medical doctors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists in Oregon and Colorado in the past as part of an integrated healthcare team. Dr. Courtney has also owned and operate Okanagan Integrative Health in Kelowna, BC for 5 years prior to returning to Red Deer to start Reform Health + Wellness.

In addition, she has been trained in Acupuncture/Dry Needling techniques, IASTM/Graston, Cupping, Rock Tape methods, Mckenzie method, Webster technique, & SFMA. She also has a special interest in prenatal and postpartum care. Although she treats a wide variety of back and neck complaints, she is also skilled in conservative care for other musculoskeletal complaints such as headaches, TMD/TMJ, knee & shoulder pain, etc. She draws from a variety of different techniques to ensure each patient is treated as an individual and receives a treatment plan specific to them.

With a background in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Dr. Means has a focus on movement based care in addition to soft tissue and joint manipulation to get you back to doing what you love. Growing up as a competitive dancer, she has a passion to help people stay moving their best. Dr. Means is excited to bring highly professional and integrative treatment back to her hometown with her husband Dr. Seth, her daughter, and dog Betty.

Dr. Seth Means was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. He attended the University of North Dakota where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Sports Medicine at University of Western States.

Dr. Means is an athlete at heart, playing baseball for NJCAA Division I Dodge City CC and NCAA Division I for the University of North Dakota. His experience with baseball related injuries led him to understand the value of sports chiropractic. He witnessed first hand how his own sports related injuries were diagnosed and treated, which allowed him to perform better and recover faster.

He completed his professional chiropractic and masters degree, but his education didn’t stop after school. He has completed numerous post doctorate level certifications and courses, including; Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, myofascial release techniques, Motion Palpation Institute, Rock Tape Performance Movement Technique, McKenzie part A, Mulligan Mobilization, Ultimate Back Fitness with Dr. Stuart McGill, Accelerated Rehab with Dr. Jason Brown, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, Titleist Performance Institute level 1, Biomedical Dry Needling, Kineticore Dry Needling, and others. The wide variation of techniques allows Dr. Means to utilize the best of the current evidence based practices.

Dr. Means has provided care with a wide variety of athletes ranging from NFL players, PGA and Korn Ferry golfers, professional rodeo cowboys, as well as local and everyday athletes.

Dr. Means has practiced at a variety of multidisciplinary and sports medicine clinics in Portland, OR, Denver, CO, and Kelowna, BC.
